 Quotation Manager Screen
menu option 4.3.2
Similar in use to the Workshop managers screen, this new screen is makes it easy to keep track of your current quotations.
Full instructions are as always in the help files. simply enter "quotation" into the search section.

 Suggested alternatives, replacemet items and linked sales
Stock input screen. Tab 2.7
This new tab makes it easy for your sales staff to suggest alternative items, find a replacement item and to suggest linked sales.
Linked sales can also be printed onto invoices and till reciepts (if required) helping you to sell more.
Full instructions are as always in the help files. simply enter "stock entry screen" into the search section, then look at tab 2.7 in the layout and example useage sections.

The stock entry screen has had a new tab added (2.7)
This tab is for entry of the alternatives and replacements mentioned above

 Default settings
The logos and footers tab (4) now has a new box to enter text used for the linked items.
The print type setup tab (2.12) also has a new tickbox to reflect this change.

All help files are now available online! simply select help from the left hand menu on the main datapos site www.datapos.co.uk

On some systems, the image on tab 2.6 was not being refreshed after selection. This has now been corrected

 GFK Reporting
On some systems, the GFK data will not send at startup. This is normally due to firewall and anti-virus settings and the data can be sent by selecting GFK from the sales and turnover section of the reports menu.
On a small number of systems this work better with the inclusion of an additional file. This additional file is now included

Ticket+
Ticket making has never been this comprehensive before.
With Ticket+ you can define your own ticket sizes and use them again and again and again.
Thats not all, you can also create a multitude of layouts, with full control over backgrounds, colours, fonts and sizes.
Ticket+ enables you to create your own professional image.

This report has been updated so that it no longer shows non-current items

On some systems, this report was causing an "update conflict" error if run whilst other users were still logged into datapos. This error has now been removed.

 Return to supplier screen
This screen has been completely replaced.
The new screen gives a list of all items currently awaiting return to supplier, and those awaiting credit or replacement. Details as always are in the help file, type supplier return into the search section to access them.

datapost has now been updated so that it runs on the desktop.
This prevents datapost from causing refresh problems with other screens, and also means you can continue to use datapost even after you have closed datapos!

Sales points can now be entered in both upper and lower case.

What`s New ?

SMS sender
datapos now includes the ability to send sms messages. The new screen (located at menu option 9.8) is able to send to multiple recipients, and will even store messages for easy retrieval and use.
Messages can also be sent from within the customer,supplier and job screens. Sending from within these screens will automatically send the correct mobile phone number to the sms sender.
To better integrate this new feature, you will notice that the customer and supplier screens have been updated and now have a mobile phone number box instead of the old fax2 box.
During the dataupgrade routine, datapos will search your files for mobile phone numbers and automatically place them into this box.
Don`t worry if you had important numbers in the fax2 box, these numbers will not have been overwritten.
To start using SMS and to get 20 FREE text messages, simply click here, and sign up using the promotional code "dcl-1234" (without the quotes)
Once your username and password are sent to you, enter them into the admin screen (8.2) on tab 2.14 and you are up and running!

 TVLA data
Copies of the csv files sent to TVLA are now stored in a folder (called TVLA) within your main data directory.

datapost!
You can now send a datapost note to any datapos user, even yourself. The datapost note will appear on your screen, and give you a reminder of all the little things you could forget!
For a more serious use, this a great way of notifying key members of staff of important calls, and workshop engineers of items that have arrived for repair.
If this is activated from the administration screen, and not by each user, this feature cannot be turned off, ensuring that everyone gets the message!
After installing the upgrade, datapost will start automatically. To change this setting, enter the admin screen and turn datapos on then off. Full instructions are available in the help manual!
